Role Overview

The Queensland Government's People and Culture team is seeking multiple Senior Consultant (AO6) professionals to join a dynamic, high-performing, and cooperative environment dedicated to delivering outstanding employee experiences and facilitating organisational transformation to nurture staff success.

Streams and Responsibilities

Applicants may be assigned to one of the following specialisations based on experience and interest:

  • Employee Grievances: Provide expert advice and case management for workplace conduct issues, grievances, performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee relations. This stream suits generalist HR professionals or those specialised in employee relations. Candidates will collaborate with Crown Law and internal legal teams while enhancing processes and procedures.
  • People Management: Offer comprehensive People Management services including recruitment support, payroll coordination, establishment management, workforce analytics, and HR advisory functions. Ideal for HR generalists or candidates focused on talent acquisition. This role involves refining vacancy management and recruitment strategies, and coaching selection committees.
  • Culture, Capability and Engagement: Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, wellbeing, organisational culture, recognition programs, and workforce experience. Suitable for HR generalists or those specialising in capability development. This role supports major culture and change programs, embedding new behavioural strategies in collaboration with management and leadership teams.
