About the role

Uber is seeking a Senior Community Operations Manager to shape and scale support operations for COE Safety teams across APAC. In this managerial role, you will combine operational leadership, analytical problem-solving, and continuous improvement to help deliver excellent support experiences for riders and drivers.

Uber’s Centers of Excellence are contact management hubs that handle complex community issues, support customer concerns, and help pilot new products, support methods, and process changes. The role calls for strong multitasking ability, a clear understanding of long-term COE objectives, and a readiness to lead with impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support specialists, team leaders, and managers while staying closely connected with cross-functional teams across APAC and the global COE network.
  • Build long-range plans that drive COE goals and strengthen customer support delivery.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to enhance internal tools and improve the overall user experience.
  • Own major programs and site-level or regional initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Spot operational gaps and introduce better processes that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Serve as a primary contact for important initiatives, updates, and partners beyond the COE.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in scaled operations support and people leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead teams effectively, define goals, develop talent, and navigate sensitive situations.
  • Background in optimization, structured process improvement, and program or project management.
  • Strong data and analytics experience; strong Excel skills are preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and solid project management capability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations to peers and senior leaders.

This is an onsite position based in Visakhapatnam Rural mandal, India. The role supports a 24/7 operational setup and may require weekend or holiday coverage from time to time.
