Senior Authorization Specialist

Overview

This role focuses on ensuring company operations adhere to relevant policies and regulations by managing access authorization processes, safeguarding sensitive data, and guaranteeing only authorized personnel can access critical assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and enforce authorization policies aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Manage the full authorization lifecycle including onboarding, access changes, and offboarding users.
• Work closely with IT and security teams to implement and maintain secure access control systems.
• Perform risk assessments to detect vulnerabilities and address security risks related to authorization.
• Oversee compliance with internal policies and external regulations, conducting routine audits to verify adherence.
• Train staff on authorization procedures and security best practices while raising awareness on the importance of data integrity and confidentiality.
• Develop incident response strategies for unauthorized access events, investigate breaches, and execute corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of authorization activities, alterations, and incidents, and produce regular performance and compliance reports.
• Partner with internal teams and external auditors to ensure unified security and compliance efforts.
• Continuously seek enhancements to authorization workflows by keeping updated on industry trends and technologies.
• Lead emergency response planning and coordination regarding security incidents.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Train and lead team members, assigning tasks to optimize motivation and effectiveness.
• Ensure operational and developmental goals are achieved timely and cost-effectively, providing progress reports.
• Address and escalate operational issues promptly.
• Maintain quality control standards and refine related processes and products.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of policies and procedures, exploring automation when feasible.
• Enforce compliance with organizational policies, work instructions, and safety regulations.
• Guarantee adherence to safety and environmental management standards to deliver high-quality outputs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in authentication and authorization management.
