Job Overview
The Senior Application Developer role involves collaborating closely with internal teams to design, develop, and maintain robust software systems using the .NET framework. The incumbent will be responsible for building applications from scratch, configuring pre-existing solutions, and offering user support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Engage in gathering and analyzing system requirements.
- Work jointly with internal teams to craft software designs and architectural frameworks.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code using .NET technologies.
- Conduct testing and deployment of applications and systems.
- Update, refactor, debug, and optimize existing source code.
- Contribute to and maintain documentation throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Serve as an application expert providing technical assistance where needed.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations regarding the handling of patient protected health information (PHI), ensuring data privacy and security.
- Comply with organizational Information Security and HIPAA policies consistently.
- Access PHI only to the extent necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience as a .NET or Application Developer.
- Hands-on familiarity with ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design patterns such as MVC.
- Expertise in at least one .NET language, including C# or Visual Basic .NET.
- Strong front-end development skills, especially with Angular version 19 or newer, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience working with Infrastructure Support Systems (ISS), involving building, integrating, or maintaining monitoring, deployment, reliability, security, or infrastructure tools.
- Knowledge of API architectures such as REST and RPC.
- Understanding and experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effective across all organizational levels.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
- High ethical standards, reliability, and a results-driven mindset with a sense of urgency.
Work Environment and Conditions
- Position is fully remote with a Monday to Friday schedule, 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Standard Time (night shift).
- Must have access to a smartphone or electronic device capable of multi-factor authentication via security applications.
- Physical requirements include moving within a work area occasionally, sitting, manual tasks, operating computers and peripherals, extending arms, kneeling, talking, and hearing.
- Mental demands involve following directions, team collaboration, and managing stress effectively.
- Work setting is typically quiet with minimal noise distractions.
