Senior Accountant

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will oversee consolidation tasks and support accounting operations across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring precise and prompt financial reporting. This role requires collaboration with local and international finance teams.

Key Responsibilities - Reporting & Consolidation

• Manage and ensure timely closure of consolidated financial statements.
• Maintain accurate accounting entries, including permanent records and intercompany elimination entries.
• Oversee general ledger integrity within accounting software.
• Administer intercompany transactions and reconcile balance sheets.
• Compile monthly consolidated reporting packages.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual financial report.
• Coordinate monthly financial closing processes with finance teams from local and overseas subsidiaries.
• Support acquisitions and integration of new entities into the group.
• Facilitate external audits during audit cycles.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation related to Operational Authority and Approval Limits.
• Lead initiatives to improve processes, implement automation, and enhance efficiency.
• Engage in various finance projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a closely related qualification.
• At least 3 years' experience at a prominent audit firm, multinational company, or publicly traded organization.
• Comprehensive understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) with practical experience in financial consolidation and reporting.
• Self-driven, proactive, and resourceful with a practical approach to resolving challenges.
• High attention to detail with strong accuracy skills.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), or similar systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with macros development or usage is a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of automation tools’ implementation and upkeep will be beneficial.
