Role Overview
The Scrum Master role entails mentoring teams and the organization on Agile and Scrum frameworks while facilitating the adoption of agile methodologies. This role collaborates closely with team management to coordinate tasks, ensure value delivery to the business, and enhance team performance. Additionally, the Scrum Master supports the rollout of Agile methods for workload planning and prioritization at portfolio or program levels and guides business stakeholders on agile best practices.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Extensive experience serving as a Scrum Master within software development teams, preferably in a DevOps setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to motivate and negotiate effectively through collaborative consultation.
- Proficiency in facilitation, driving continuous improvement, empowering individuals, fostering transparency, and practicing servant leadership.
- Capability to manage diverse internal and external stakeholder relationships to promote collaborative workflows.
- Ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
- Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Kanban, Scrum, and Extreme Programming (XP).
- Hands-on experience with agile practices including Automated Testing, User Stories, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration, Testing, and Pair Programming.
- Experience participating in large-scale agile transformations within organizations is highly valued.
- Up-to-date understanding of trends in software-related IT.
- Strong independent problem-solving skills, creativity, and expertise in planning and executing strategies within complex and sizeable organizations.
- Certification(s) relevant to Scrum and/or other agile methodologies is required.
