Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and precise Junior Associate to join our Scientific Writing team in Sydney, Australia. This full-time, entry-level role is perfect for life science graduates or postgraduates aiming to gain foundational expertise in medical communications. Prior direct medical or therapy area knowledge is not necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and format scientific presentations and modules utilizing approved global materials from the Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR) library.
- Ensure content is accurately structured and professionally presented using MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Review final materials to guarantee alignment with global standards, completeness, and proper referencing.
- Maintain consistent adherence to approved templates and references while ensuring quality and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with senior medical writers and medical teams to ensure content accuracy and clarity.
- Proactively communicate to monitor progress, clarify task requirements, and meet deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: MPharm, MSc or equivalent master’s degree, PharmD preferred; PhDs generally not considered.
- Experience: Zero to one year of professional experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Languages: Strong command of English (verbal and written) plus proficiency in a relevant regional/native language.
- Additional Attributes: Great attention to detail, ability to follow structured guidance and utilize approved materials, strong communication and time management abilities.
Preferred Characteristics
- Keen interest in advancing within medical communications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-moving work environment.
