About the Role
A residential school located in rural Bangalore seeks a female principal with extensive experience in ICSE-affiliated schools. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication abilities along with a postgraduate degree and a compulsory B.Ed qualification.
Job Purpose
The role is designed to ensure seamless execution of all school-related processes including Academics, Finance, Operations, and Marketing. This involves coordinating with relevant stakeholders, supervising daily activities, and ensuring the school accomplishes its organizational goals.
Required Experience and Skills
- Possess 10 to 15 years of teaching experience.
- Have held the position of Principal in ICSE institutions for 3 to 5 years.
- Be an excellent mentor and coach, with a strong focus on targets and achievements and adaptability to dynamic work environments.
- Capable of motivating staff to maximize productivity through optimal use of manpower and resources.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage students, staff, and all school activities according to ICSE standards.
- Provide superior scholastic and co-scholastic instruction and services to students.
- Facilitate training workshops to update and encourage teachers on teaching approaches and curriculum changes.
- Lead teacher recruitment whenever necessary, uphold discipline and decorum on campus, collect feedback from students, teachers, and parents, and act accordingly.
- Ensure the school environment is safe, healthy, and peaceful.
- Develop school policies and growth strategies.
- Oversee school accounts, hostel management, estate, transport, store operations, and staff accommodations.
- Maintain and set up science, computer, and language laboratories and the library.
- Supervise infrastructural upkeep and recommend development projects to management.
Personal Attributes
- Must have work experience in an ICSE-based school.
- Preferably a female candidate aged between 45 and 50 years.
- Exhibit a dynamic, outward-facing personality.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
