Role Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled School Nurse to join our Business Bay campus, opening this September. This role involves being a highly visible and trusted caretaker, integral to ensuring families feel safe when leaving their children in our care each morning. The position operates within our elegantly designed facility, including a fully equipped clinic. Our operating hours are from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, with shifts scheduled during this timeframe.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage children's health and wellness throughout the school day, including daily health checks, providing care for minor injuries and illnesses, and offering comforting support to young children.
  • Oversee the clinic's operations ensuring impeccable standards in medication administration, inventory management of first aid supplies and medical equipment, and adherence to hygiene protocols.
  • Maintain precise and confidential health records for all children, documenting immunizations, allergies, chronic conditions, and individual care plans as required by Dubai Health Authority and Knowledge and Human Development Authority guidelines.
  • Collaborate with families to develop and keep updated personalized health plans for children with allergies or other medical needs, ensuring all educators are fully informed.
  • Coordinate health screenings, monitor communicable diseases, manage exclusion procedures, and lead infection control initiatives within the school.
  • Lead the school's medical emergency preparedness and response procedures, including staff training on first aid and emergency protocols.
  • Communicate sensitively and effectively with parents regarding their child's health, fostering trust and transparency.
  • Work with the catering team to support safe and allergy-aware food service practices.

Candidate Requirements

  • Valid DHA license or eligibility for DHA nursing licensure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with credentials attested per DHA and KHDA standards.
  • At least two years of nursing experience; experience in pediatric, school, or nursery nursing is highly preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is a strong advantage.
  • A comforting and reassuring demeanor with young children, combined with the ability to remain composed during emergencies.
  • Proficiency in English is required; Arabic or French language skills are considered a significant plus.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Valid UAE work visa or eligibility, including police clearance and background checks as mandated.
  • Availability to start in August for onboarding and training prior to the school's opening.
