Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Scanning Coordinator for our Christchurch office, joining on a fixed-term contract until May 2027. This role offers comprehensive training for candidates with a keen interest in property and construction, solid technical aptitude, and enthusiasm to master new technologies and systems. Formal qualifications are not mandatory.
Primary Duties
- Perform 3D scanning of residential properties throughout the South Island.
- Operate drones and specialized scanning devices to accurately capture property data.
- Support Building Surveyors during onsite assessments and inspections.
- Prepare, manage, and organise documentation and digital files from field data.
- Assist in processing and arranging scanned information and digitized files when necessary.
- Maintain scanning equipment and ensure adherence to quality standards for data collected.
- Coordinate site scanning efforts, ensuring precise recording of all information.
- Comply with health and safety protocols while working on residential and construction sites.
Candidate Profile
- Interest in property, construction, surveying, or building evaluation.
- Preferably experienced with drones, laser scanners, or similar surveying technologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in collecting and processing data.
- Proficient in computer operation and comfortable handling digital files and related software.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective communication and strong organisational abilities.
- Possession of a valid New Zealand driver's license.
- Drone pilot certification is advantageous, or a readiness to acquire this license.
