Role Overview

We are seeking an SAP ABAP/ABAP HR Consultant to join the Development & Core HR department. This role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing HR applications through quality ABAP coding. The candidate should be proactive, collaborative, and able to work closely with business users to deliver reliable and fit-for-purpose solutions with minimal regression risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incidents and support ongoing ABAP development.
• Collaborate internationally with colleagues to align processes and procedures with customer needs.
• Engage directly with clients to understand requirements and provide assistance.
• Participate actively in design sessions and estimate solution designs.
• Identify opportunities to improve services and implement configuration changes that enhance user experience and system effectiveness.
• Ensure thorough testing to minimize regression risks.
• Work effectively as part of a team, utilizing strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent programming skills in object-oriented languages; SAP ABAP expertise is preferred.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle processes.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in ABAP development; experience with ABAP-HR is an advantage.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting with sound judgment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement to build and maintain strong working relationships.
• Motivated to pursue continuous improvement.
