Safety Officer

About the Role

Alkhorayef Energy Systems is hiring a Safety Officer to help drive HSE/QHSE execution across its operations. The position focuses on building a strong safety mindset, maintaining compliance with health and safety requirements, carrying out inspections, and contributing to ongoing improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply and oversee health, safety, environment, and quality policies, procedures, and programs.
• Carry out regular workplace inspections and assess potential risks.
• Look into incidents and help put corrective and preventive measures in place.
• Draft HSE reports and keep safety logs and supporting records up to date.
• Confirm that safety gear, fire protection equipment, and first-aid resources are available and operational.
• Support and deliver safety induction, awareness, and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Make sure day-to-day activities align with company requirements and applicable local HSE laws.

Requirements

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a similar discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in HSE/QHSE.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and HSE compliance requirements.
• Well-developed reporting, communication, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong command of English is essential.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification would be an added advantage.
