Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous Credit Analyst and Risk Analyst to enhance financial decision-making by conducting thorough credit evaluations, assessing risks, and analyzing data. The position primarily involves identifying, measuring, and monitoring both financial and operational risks, offering valuable insights that steer responsible lending, investment, and business tactics. Candidates should exhibit strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and proficiency in interpreting financial and business data accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine financial statements, credit reports, and business information to determine creditworthiness and risk exposure.
- Assess credit submissions, lending opportunities, and financial health using established risk assessment techniques.
- Track credit portfolios to detect potential risks, trends, or concerns.
- Compile detailed credit and risk assessment reports featuring recommendations for relevant stakeholders.
- Perform both quantitative and qualitative analyses to back lending, investment, and strategic choices.
- Analyze financial ratios, cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and debt capacity metrics.
- Contribute to the formulation and upkeep of credit policies, risk management frameworks, and internal controls.
- Ensure adherence to internal guidelines, regulatory mandates, and industry norms.
- Work collaboratively with finance, operations, compliance, and business units to drive effective risk management.
- Analyze market developments, economic indicators, and industry trends impacting risk exposure.
- Support portfolio evaluations, stress testing, and scenario analyses to determine possible financial outcomes.
- Identify and implement process improvements in risk management through automation and data insights.
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting related to credit and risk functions.
- Clearly communicate analytical findings and suggestions to management and other stakeholders.
- Participate in ongoing initiatives to enhance financial controls and decision processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Deep knowledge of credit assessment, financial statement evaluation, and risk management concepts.
- Understanding of financial ratios, cash flow assessments, profitability reviews, and credit evaluation methods.
- Familiarity with lending procedures, financial regulations, and compliance matters.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis or reporting software.
- Able to interpret complex financial data, market information, and economic trends.
- Proven analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a keen eye for detail.
- Capability to produce clear, precise, and well-organized analytical reports.
- Effective time management with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate productively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, financial systems, or data visualization is a plus.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and risk modeling techniques beneficial.
