About the Role
Infopro Digital seeks a dedicated Researcher to join its Barbour ABI team on a permanent basis in Ellesmere Port, England. Barbour ABI is renowned for providing exceptional intelligence on the UK built environment, supporting clients with over 1.7 million projects in its database. The organization offers construction project leads, analytical services, market research reports, and customized consultancy solutions.
Working with Barbour ABI provides a unique blend of challenges and independence typical of a dynamic SME, combined with the stability and growth prospects of a large international enterprise boasting over 4,000 employees and operating across 26 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on ongoing construction projects by utilizing telephone, internet, and various communication channels to uncover new opportunities for clients.
- Engage directly with customers through internal CRM platforms, addressing inquiries related to project details.
- Independently manage workload to ensure information accuracy, currency, and timely delivery aligning with departmental standards.
- Meet key performance indicators related to the quantity and quality of project data collected.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments within the business.
- Develop and sustain relationships with contacts in the construction sector.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of two years' experience in an outbound calling role, which could span areas such as Research, Debt Collection, Account Management, or Sales.
- GCSE qualifications in Maths and English with a grade C or higher, or equivalent credentials.
- Strong communication skills combined with active listening.
- Exceptional telephone etiquette and professionalism.
- Proven ability to work towards and achieve key performance indicators.
- Demonstrated resilience, a robust work ethic, and dedication to delivering high-quality outcomes consistently.
- Team-oriented mindset with an understanding of collaborative success.
- Meticulous attention to detail along with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Competency in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, or similar software.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Induction and Training
This role benefits from a comprehensive six-month induction period, featuring continuous training led by an experienced Research Training Manager. Training includes one-to-one coaching sessions, workshops, on-the-job learning, and ongoing professional development.
