Research Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Research Project Manager at Band 6 level to join our Research & Innovation support team. This critical position involves managing and coordinating a broad range of research studies, ensuring successful execution within timelines, targets, and quality frameworks aligned with regulatory and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

The individual will manage the day-to-day operations of an assigned project portfolio, collaborate closely with clinical teams, investigators, sponsors, and external partners to facilitate study initiation, recruitment, and progress. They will lead study set-up activities including regulatory approvals, governance adherence, and site initiation, strictly complying with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.

Monitoring study milestones, timelines, and recruitment goals will be essential, along with risk management and maintaining up-to-date project documentation and reports. Acting as the main liaison among internal teams and external stakeholders, the manager will ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the study lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should bring prior experience in research delivery or project management, preferably in healthcare or NHS environments. Key attributes include exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to juggle multiple projects effectively. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities are vital.

A sound understanding of research governance and regulatory demands is necessary, coupled with the ability to operate independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. A proactive and problem-solving mindset, committed to maintaining high standards in research execution, is imperative.
