Overview
We are seeking a Research Administrator to join the energetic Neuromuscular research team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH), based within the NIHR Clinical Research Facility. This role supports the pivotal work of the Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre and UCL Institute of Child Health, renowned for their comprehensive care and research on childhood neuromuscular diseases, including muscular dystrophies.
The post holder will become part of a highly motivated multidisciplinary team located in central London, benefiting from GOSH's flexible working arrangements, childcare and travel assistance, professional development opportunities, and housing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer support for clinical and academic research activities within the neuromuscular team and Clinical Research Facility.
- Organize, attend, and document meetings and training sessions related to study initiation, ongoing management, and closure.
- Coordinate principal investigator calendars, meeting logistics, and aid in hosting events and workshops for broader neuromuscular networks.
- Accurately extract and enter complex clinical data from medical records and research documents into electronic systems for non-commercial, investigator-led studies and projects such as NorthStar and SMA REACH UK.
- Communicate effectively with internal clinical and research teams as well as external stakeholders.
- Assist with study startup processes, including maintaining documentation such as timelines, recruitment plans, informed consent forms, and amendments.
