Role Overview

This position calls for a highly skilled and motivated scientist to contribute to Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) production, focusing on advancing analytical methods involving non-literal spectral, thermal, and SAR data. The candidate will perform detailed technical analyses and develop or refine procedures and techniques related to the Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) of remotely sensed datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Employ sophisticated GEOINT tools for analysis and exploitation of remote sensing data to generate GEOINT products for dissemination.
• Lead and provide technical guidance to teams engaged in exploitation and process development tasks.
• Analyze and innovate processes that enable exploitation of unique or challenging datasets using engineering and physics-based analytical methodologies.
• Develop algorithms to handle complex data exploitation challenges effectively.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Remote Sensing, or related technical fields.
• Practical experience in remote sensing data processing and analysis.
• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Proficient understanding of signal processing techniques applicable to novel problem-solving scenarios.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within team environments.
• Excellent technical writing abilities and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in interpreting image-based data.
• Familiarity with software tools such as ENVI, ArcGIS, or comparable platforms.
• Programming or scripting skills in languages like Python or IDL.
