About the Opportunity
This role is for an experienced HR leader who can guide people operations through a period of growth. The position is hands-on and broad in scope, with ownership of the employee journey from hiring through offboarding, while working closely with leadership to create scalable processes and an excellent employee experience.
What You’ll Handle
- Oversee compliance and payroll operations across multiple states, including running end-to-end payroll in Rippling and keeping records organized and audit-ready.
- Lead recruiting activities from drafting job descriptions through onboarding, with a focus on bringing in strong talent.
- Support employee experience by managing benefits, building engagement initiatives, and encouraging professional growth.
- Act as a trusted HR partner for managers by coaching them on performance, policies, and people-related decisions.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings 3 to 5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a generalist role covering multiple functions. A solid understanding of California and Arizona employment law is required. Experience with Rippling HRIS, startup or high-growth environments, and healthcare or other regulated industries is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience is expected, and HR certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP are a bonus. Strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 along with a benefits package that includes medical coverage, a 401(k), generous paid time off, and a fully remote work setup.
Additional Information
This is a full-time remote position, and availability during Pacific Time Zone business hours is required. Candidates should be prepared to work within those hours and collaborate closely with a distributed team.
