Role Overview

The position is a full-time, on-site role based in Malappuram, Kerala, focused on Quantity Surveying. Key responsibilities include preparing and verifying Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimating costs for projects, and assisting with budget development for both residential and commercial construction ventures. Daily duties involve monitoring project expenses, reviewing variances in costs, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to maintain financial oversight and optimize resource use. The Quantity Surveyor will also prepare cost reports, support the documentation required for tenders, assess quotations from contractors and suppliers, and ensure adherence to company standards as well as local regulations. Additional contributions include participating in risk evaluations, value engineering initiatives, and the enhancement of cost management protocols.

Candidate Qualifications

• Proficient in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities with strong quantity take-off and measurement skills.
• Experienced in cost control and management to monitor budgets and limit cost overruns.
• Skilled in cost planning to generate precise estimates, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with construction projects.
• Able to produce clear and punctual cost reports to aid project stakeholder decisions.
• Holds a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
• Knowledgeable about construction contracts, tendering processes, and applicable local building codes.
• Comfortable utilizing software such as MS Excel, estimating and quantity surveying applications, and project management systems.
• Possesses strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities emphasizing detail and accuracy.
• Effective at communicating and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary on-site teams.
• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role or similar position in residential and commercial construction is advantageous.
