Job Overview
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to ensure materials and completed works meet the approved designs, specifications, quality protocols, and project standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform inspections according to pre-approved Inspection and Test Plans.
- Ensure all activities adhere to approved drawings, method statements, and technical guidelines.
- Examine incoming materials to verify compliance with approved submittals.
- Prepare and track Work Inspection Requests and Material Inspection Requests diligently.
- Report any non-conforming work promptly to the QA/QC Engineer.
- Oversee corrective measures and closure of quality issues such as Non-Conformance Reports.
- Maintain all relevant inspection documentation including reports, checklists, test results, and quality records.
- Coordinate inspection efforts with consultants, subcontractors, and site engineers.
- Observe testing procedures and ensure documentation of results is complete.
- Contribute to the preparation of handover documentation, snag lists, and final quality records.
- Verify that materials and construction methods meet approved standards.
- Strictly follow health and safety protocols during inspection tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or construction projects.
- Fundamental understanding of quality control procedures, inspection criteria, and technical specifications.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Preferred possession of quality assurance or related professional certifications.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in inspection techniques and documentation.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competent in reviewing engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Basic knowledge of QA/QC documentation and procedures.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
