Job Purpose
The Quality Control Executive will foster internal collaboration by aligning policies, standards, and training efforts. This role involves working closely with various contacts to support compliance and customer-specific quality requirements. Coordination of programs linked to food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance at the location level will be a core responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize third-party laboratory analyses in compliance with FSSC 22000 standards for finished goods, raw materials, and customer-specific needs.
- Manage laboratory consumables inventory and ensure calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment.
- Provide staff training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food defense, and safety protocols.
- Participate actively in safety and health risk assessments.
- Assess new packaging materials and manage shelf-life extension processes for materials and finished products.
- Oversee quality control retained samples.
- Investigate customer complaints, issuing corrective actions to internal teams and suppliers to address non-conformities.
- Conduct timely analytical testing and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Issue Certificates of Analysis (COA) for finished goods.
- Coordinate pest control services, maintain laboratory cleanliness, and support external and regulatory quality audits.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science and Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum three years experience in quality management within the food industry.
- Completion of training related to Quality and Food Safety, including standards like ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000.
- Positive mindset and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Availability to start immediately or with minimal notice.
- Willingness to work fully onsite at the Tuas location.
