We provide expert sampling and analysis services, staffed by fully trained microbiology and analytical analysts, to clients in sectors including food, environment, medical devices, biopharmaceuticals, and pharmaceuticals. Our flexible service options allow clients to either have our specialist teams on-site at their locations or outsource analytic services directly to CLS.
Opportunity Overview
CLS is expanding rapidly and seeks dedicated, solution-oriented individuals with adaptability who wish to advance their careers through our structured Career Accelerator Programme as QC Analysts. This full-time permanent position offers comprehensive hands-on chemistry training from day one.
Role Description
- Undergo extensive training in within CLS’s accredited Galway laboratory to build practical skills in both microbiological and chemical analysis techniques.
- Gain exposure at various client sites across Ireland, requiring flexibility and potential relocation to support client needs.
- Conduct quality control testing using microbiology and analytical chemistry methods.
- Operate LIMS systems for data entry and reporting duties.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), and laboratory safety regulations.
- Maintain precise documentation and uphold top quality laboratory standards.
- Perform general lab upkeep including equipment calibration, cleaning, and routine glassware maintenance.
- Collaborate efficiently as part of multidisciplinary teams while independently managing assigned tasks.
Career Accelerator Programme Phases
Phase 1 - Launch: Participate in CLS’s proprietary applied competency training at GMP and INAB accredited facilities covering essential compliance topics like laboratory safety, gowning protocols, aseptic techniques, and data integrity. Technical instruction includes fundamentals in pipetting, balance usage, solution formulation, pH measurement, conductivity, TOC, Karl Fischer titration, FTIR, heavy metal and nitrate analysis, and HPLC operations. Transversal skills such as professional behavior, effective communication, time management, critical thinking, technical writing, and interview preparation are also developed.
Phase 2 - Accelerate: Apply classroom learning through hands-on assignments in regulated pharmaceutical and medical device environments at client locations throughout Ireland, requiring candidate flexibility and potential relocation.
Phase 3 - Mastery: Specialize in desired career pathways including technical expertise, leadership, quality assurance, Lean methodologies, or training roles.
