QA/QC Engineer

About the Role

This position focuses on ensuring that site activities meet the required quality assurance and quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle. The QA/QC Engineer will work closely with the project team to maintain workmanship quality, strengthen compliance, and support continuous improvement on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to uphold a consistently high standard of work delivery.
• Take charge of the QA/QC team and coach site personnel on structural and architectural trades.
• Review daily site processes and operational practices, then recommend practical improvements.
• Identify defects, analyze likely causes, and suggest preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Compile monthly management reports.
• Carry out internal quality audits.
• Gather trade-related records, testing documents, and other formal site documentation.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities, including BCA for assessment score targets and LTA for inspections and compliance matters.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with workplace safety requirements.

• Apply a strong understanding of quality standards and site requirements to actual construction activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Civil Engineering or another construction-related discipline is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in building and/or civil engineering work is needed.
• Prior QA/QC experience and certified auditor credentials will be considered an advantage.
• Completion of at least one building project is expected.

Technical Competencies

• Good knowledge of BCA quality requirements, industry practices, and contract specifications.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and ISO 9000.
• Understanding of structural and architectural works.
