Role overview
Xoriant is looking for a Python Developer with practical machine learning experience to help build scalable, production-grade solutions. This role involves developing efficient Python applications, training and improving ML models, and working closely with data science and engineering teams to take models from development into live systems.
What you'll do
- Develop, enhance, and support applications and services built in Python.
- Create, train, evaluate, and fine-tune machine learning models.
- Move ML models into production environments and ensure they work reliably.
- Work with Data Scientists, Product Managers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions.
- Handle data preparation tasks such as cleaning, transforming, and preprocessing datasets.
- Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and keep technical documentation current.
- Improve application scalability and model performance.
- Keep pace with new developments in AI/ML and Python engineering.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of professional experience working with Python.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience using machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- A strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and software design fundamentals.
- Experience deploying models with tools such as Flask, FastAPI, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Comfort working with both structured and unstructured data.
- Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Preferred exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and ML services such as SageMaker or Vertex AI.
- Preferred experience with MLOps practices and tools.
- Preferred background in NLP, computer vision, or time series forecasting.
- Open-source contributions or participation in ML competitions such as Kaggle will be an advantage.
Additional information
Location preferences mentioned for this role include Bangalore, Mumbai, and Pune. The role is open to any graduate who meets the experience and skill requirements.
