Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Python/Django Developer with 1 to 7 years of experience to create scalable backend systems and web applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in Python and the Django framework, supplemented by a solid grasp of web development principles and database management.
Primary Duties
- Develop, test, and manage web applications utilizing Python and Django.
- Design and build robust backend architectures and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with frontend teams and interact with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when necessary.
- Enhance application performance and ensure scalability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including QA and product management.
- Identify and resolve bugs and issues throughout the application stack.
- Develop reusable, efficient, and well-tested code.
- Enforce security standards and data protection policies.
- Engage in code reviews to uphold best coding methodologies.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming.
- Practical experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Basic competencies in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Proficiency with Git version control systems.
- Awareness of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
