Purchasing Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain functions. The perfect candidate will possess extensive experience managing domestic and international purchasing operations, optimizing costs, coordinating inventory, and maintaining robust vendor relationships to ensure materials and services are available on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of procurement and purchasing activities across the company.
• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies aimed at cost reduction and continuous supply.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard trustworthy domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, payment conditions, and delivery timelines with vendors.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and operations teams for accurate procurement planning.
• Track inventory and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Generate and manage purchase orders, prepare comparative analysis, and maintain procurement documentation.
• Maintain solid relationships with suppliers and periodically assess their performance.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, quality protocols, and internal procedures.
• Work in tandem with logistics and warehouse departments to facilitate efficient material movement and dispatch.
• Analyze market trends, monitor price changes, and identify supply chain risks.
• Coordinate with finance and accounts teams concerning payments, invoice processing, and reconciliations.
• Prepare procurement MIS reports and maintain detailed records within ERP systems.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience managing import and international procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in ERP software, MS Excel, and procurement tools.

• Ability to manage multiple vendors and procurement workflows concurrently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Science, or a related discipline.
• Certifications in Supply Chain or Procurement Management are beneficial.

Experience

• Over 9 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, and vendor management roles.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, medical equipment, engineering, or similar sectors is preferred.
• Exposure to global procurement and strategic sourcing is a plus.
