Project Manager, Mathematics Education

Position Summary

This role is responsible for managing the implementation and continuous refinement of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Mathematics. The Project Manager will coordinate updates, work with committees, create guidance materials, and lead professional development efforts for educators across districts and at statewide events. This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with no remote work option.

Key Responsibilities

• Possess thorough knowledge of mathematics concepts across grade levels and familiarity with state and national mathematics standards frameworks.
• Manage the review and ongoing development of the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Mathematics, ensuring alignment with national practices and educational research.
• Plan and conduct professional development workshops and conferences for educators at district and state levels, collaborating with partners to identify training needs and assess outcomes.
• Develop accessible guidance resources such as curriculum frameworks, instructional materials, and assessment approaches to aid educators in applying the mathematics standards effectively.
• Lead and facilitate committee meetings comprising educators and stakeholders to collect input, review standards, and recommend revisions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, or a related discipline (official transcripts required upon hiring).
• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate specific to mathematics education.
• At least four years of experience teaching or coordinating elementary mathematics instruction in PK-12 settings.

Additional Requirements

• Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without sponsorship.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background screening.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license for job-related travel.
• Willingness to travel occasionally up to 20% within and outside the state.
