Project Manager - Automation

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the PMO team of a leading manufacturer specializing in medical and life sciences automation equipment located in County Limerick, Ireland. This pivotal role involves overseeing cross-functional automation projects from their inception to completion, ensuring the delivery of complex custom equipment projects within scope, time, cost, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage medium to large-scale automation projects end-to-end, covering scope control, scheduling, budgeting, and quality management.
• Serve as the primary liaison for customers, providing updates, facilitating decisions, and resolving issues efficiently.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, risk registers, and communication strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Fabrication, Assembly, and Production teams to synchronize project plans with operational activities.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior project managers and coordinators as the PMO team expands.

Candidate Profile

• Possess between 5 to 7 or more years of project management experience, preferably in the fields of automation or equipment manufacturing.
• Hold a degree in Engineering, Project Management, or possess equivalent practical experience.
• Have a strong understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, or general manufacturing processes.
• Be proficient with ERP systems and project management tools such as Smartsheet and MS Project.
• Possession of PMP certification and experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies is advantageous.
