About the Role

The Next Smile charity is dedicated to combating child labour by creating impactful projects in developing countries. In 2021, the organization plans to launch four initiatives focused on building schools and providing food to children trapped in child labour. We seek committed project managers who will lead these ventures on location within third-world nations, ensuring tangible and sustainable improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of The Next Smile Director while taking full responsibility for your project's success abroad.
• Spend time overseas, visiting a country of your choice once a year to oversee your assigned project.
• Manage entire projects from initiation to completion, including the option to design new projects under supervision.
• Lead fundraising efforts collaboratively with a team and have the ability to recruit additional fundraisers.
• Establish partnerships with local companies and schools to acquire project donations.
• Set and achieve project objectives, operating on behalf of The Next Smile charity.
• Engage in communication and negotiation with local businesses to acquire building materials for school construction.
• Recruit and supervise workers on-site during school construction, spending between four to eight weeks abroad.
• Projects may be managed individually or jointly with a partner, which is encouraged.

Candidate Profile

• Disciplined and driven by a genuine desire to help children escape child labour.
• Fluent English speaker with effective communication skills.
• Experience living abroad is preferred.
• Previous management and ideally sales experience are advantageous.
• A goal-oriented mindset with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
• Creative thinker capable of problem-solving in challenging environments.
• A strong motivation to positively impact children's lives globally.
