Project Executive

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Project Executive or Senior Project Manager who wants to lead complex, mission-critical construction programs in the AI infrastructure space. The company is a fast-scaling U.S. startup building advanced data centers for artificial intelligence workloads, including large GPU facilities with liquid cooling technology.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, budget control, and risk management process for global data center programs, translating capacity goals into practical project execution plans and ensuring alignment from project kickoff through customer handover.
• Create and maintain integrated schedules in Primavera P6 and MS Project across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, while owning the master construction timeline from mobilization to substantial completion and turnover.
• Manage budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and change-order controls, and provide weekly earned-value performance reporting.
• Run phase-gate and design review meetings, maintain RACI matrices and action trackers, and oversee contract processes from RFP and bid review through award, PCO tracking, and final close-out.
• Spot and manage critical-path and long-lead-item risks such as transformers, chillers, and switchgear, and serve as the main source of project information for both internal leadership and external partners.
• Direct cross-functional delivery teams including project managers, construction managers, and superintendents, support staffing plans, and lead standups, review meetings, and retrospectives.

What the company is looking for

• Proven experience leading project management for hyperscale data centers, large industrial builds, or infrastructure projects, with the ability to deliver fast-track work across multiple regions.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scopes, along with procurement processes and cost management.
• Advanced proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project, cost tools such as Procore, Ares, and Excel, and collaboration platforms such as Smartsheet and Confluence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with both senior executives and field teams.
• Experience building and scaling project teams across regions and time zones, aligning technical and commercial stakeholders around shared goals, and willingness to travel more than 50% to active project sites as needed.
