Role overview
This position is suited for a civil engineering or architecture professional who can handle technical evaluation, project monitoring, and property valuation work for residential, commercial, and plotted developments in Mumbai.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out technical due diligence and assess property values for residential, commercial, and plotted projects.
- Visit sites to confirm build quality, verify the stage of completion, and check alignment with sanctioned plans.
- Draft detailed valuation summaries, construction progress updates, and feasibility studies.
- Examine project paperwork, drawings, approvals, and technical specifications used in loan-related processing.
- Liaise with valuers, vendors, builders, branch representatives, and internal teams to ensure timely technical assessments.
- Track construction progress and perform recurring technical inspections for individual and builder-funded developments.
- Study market movement and maintain technical MIS, valuation logs, and project records.
- Follow company policies, valuation norms, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist with builder due diligence, project appraisal, and technical risk review activities.
- Identify technical concerns and recommend suitable actions to support business decisions.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant should have a background in civil engineering or architecture, along with practical exposure to project evaluation, construction tracking, or property valuation. Experience in housing finance, banking, NBFCs, valuation firms, or construction/PMC settings is preferred. The role also calls for strong coordination ability, analytical thinking, and clear report-writing skills, as well as readiness to travel for site visits.

Preferred skills and tools
Knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods, BOQ, estimation, and project documentation is important. Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project, Primavera P6, Revit, or similar engineering tools is an advantage.
