Role Overview
The Programme Facilitator will join a professional and progressive team based at the Dundalk Resource Center in County Louth. This fixed-term, full-time role focuses on supporting individuals with complex challenges to engage meaningfully in their communities through educational, developmental, social, recreational, and occupational activities. The role requires embodying the principles of Supported Self Directed Living and the core values of New Directions, demonstrating innovation, enthusiasm, motivation, and a positive approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as key worker facilitating the Person Centred Planning process by identifying individual goals and supports, and maintaining appropriate records.
- Develop and implement person-centred programmes tailored to meet the needs identified through planning processes.
- Support individuals and groups in accessing community resources by facilitating various activities and programmes.
- Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by the Programmes Supervisor or Community Services Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Social Care or an equivalent credential.
- A third-level degree in Health & Social Care or a related field is preferred.
- Experience supporting adults primarily diagnosed with intellectual disabilities.
- Familiarity with programme facilitation is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary ranges from 2,217 to 2,939 per annum based on qualifications and experience, with progression opportunities up to 35,924 on a 12-point scale.
