Job Overview
The Program Officer for STRIDES Ghana will play a critical role in supporting implementation by managing administrative and programmatic functions, ensuring adherence to schedules and budget constraints. Reporting to the Project Director, this position involves coordinating activities, monitoring budgets, tracking deliverables, supporting communications, and assisting with project documentation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the STRIDES management team to fulfill project requirements and coordinate activities.
- Handle logistical support including arranging meetings, travel requests, and conference setups.
- Gather and compile project data and metrics from partners and subcontractors for reporting purposes.
- Maintain distribution lists and ensure project websites are updated; respond to partner inquiries.
- Manage project calendars and deadlines, setting up and preserving project files in electronic and physical formats.
- Provide administrative assistance including drafting and reviewing quarterly reports and supporting donor deliverables.
- Assist in financial tracking by coordinating budgets, monitoring performance against financial targets, and liaising with internal units such as finance and contracts.
- Perform assigned special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Society, Communication and Law, Economic Development, Education, Health, Research, Technology, Youth studies, or related fields.
- At least two years of relevant experience supporting projects in NGOs, government agencies, or private organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
- Strong communication abilities both oral and written, with fluency in English.
- Well-developed organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving aptitude with judgment skills to make decisions within defined procedures.

The annual salary range is approximately USD 9,000 to 13,000, factoring in experience, education, equity, market standards, and budget considerations.
