Overview
The Production Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive production schedule that aligns with operational capabilities and meets sales forecasts. This role requires continuous assessment and prioritization of resources to maximize efficiency and minimize delays in production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a master production schedule that fulfills customer demand.
- Adjust and manage the production plan in response to engineering alterations and shortages in materials.
- Gather reliable process data to keep the master plan up-to-date.
- Ensure synchronization between the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and latest production information.
- Coordinate with material and supply planners to ensure alignment and accurate material resource planning (MRP).
- Organize and direct resources—including manpower, equipment, and materials—to optimize performance and avoid production delays.
- Forecast resource needs to meet anticipated production volumes.
- Prepare and present status updates and performance reports regularly.
- Compile monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using validated data from multiple departments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering disciplines such as Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; candidates with Finance or Commerce degrees considered as alternatives.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in production or material planning roles; senior positions may require 5 to 8 years.
- Preferred background includes aerospace, automotive, defense, or equipment manufacturing sectors.
- Proficient user of SAP, specifically in Production Planning (PP); knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple project planning and scheduling with proven success in delivering desired results.
- Fluent English communication skills.
