Production Engineer / Production Technician

About the Role

Camware Technologies Llp is seeking a committed Production Engineer or Production Technician to join their electronics manufacturing facility located in Mogappair, Chennai. The role demands at least three years of experience specifically in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) domain. The incumbent will be pivotal in guaranteeing seamless production operations across various manufacturing processes including PCB assembly (PCBA), Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Through-Hole, and Box Build manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily production activities ensuring targets are consistently met.
• Supervise multiple manufacturing processes such as SMT, Through-Hole Assembly, PCBA, and Box Build.
• Maintain adherence to production schedules, uphold quality controls, and satisfy customer specifications.
• Monitor production metrics including line efficiency, yield, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Collaborate with Quality, Stores, Maintenance, and Process Engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and mitigate production bottlenecks, implementing corrective measures to reduce downtime.
• Optimize manpower allocation, line balancing, and resource usage.
• Keep accurate and comprehensive production, shift, and machine utilization reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen principles.
• Enforce ESD compliance, safety standards, and adhere to company manufacturing protocols.
• Train and mentor operators on standard work instructions and SOPs.
• Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) and process validation tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum three years' hands-on experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services.
• Proficient with SMT, Wave Soldering, Manual Assembly, PCBA, and Box Build operations.
• Sound knowledge of production planning and manufacturing workflows.
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and TPM concepts.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot production issues and enhance process efficiency.
• Preferred exposure to ESD handling and IPC standards.
• Experience using ERP, MES, or SAP platforms is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership capabilities, communication skills, and problem-solving aptitude.

Additional Information

Job location is at Mogappair East near MMM Hospital in Chennai. The role expects candidates to have at least two years of work experience (minimum). This is an onsite, full-time role in the electronics manufacturing industry. Salary compensation ranges between 15000 to 25000 INR monthly.
