Product Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Product Designer on a contract basis based in Berlin, Germany. This position requires designing innovative, user-focused products that align with both business targets and customer expectations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and marketing professionals to deliver intuitive, visually appealing, and functional designs spanning digital products, services, or hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform user research to understand needs and pain points.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design assets.
• Iterate designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
• Maintain design consistency across multiple platforms.
• Optimize user experiences to satisfy both business and user requirements.
• Validate designs through user testing and data-driven decision making.
• Work collaboratively in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in product design with experience in creating user-centered designs for web and mobile platforms.
• Strong understanding of UX and UI principles to simplify complex problems into intuitive solutions.
• Proficient with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
• Experienced conducting user research and usability testing to guide iterative design improvements.
• Excellent collaboration with product, development, and marketing teams to ensure feasibility and alignment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a creative and innovative mindset.
• Meticulous attention to detail ensuring pixel-perfect execution and consistent design implementation.
• Knowledge and experience with design systems to ensure coherence across all products.
• Familiarity with agile development processes and the ability to work efficiently under iterative cycles.
• Outstanding communication skills to articulate design rationale clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Preferred academic background in Product Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design or related disciplines. Additional certifications in UX/UI or design thinking methodologies are advantageous.
