Role Overview

As a Product Designer specializing in Human Interface at Meta, you will be integral to crafting user-centered technologies that are intuitive, visually polished, and impactful. This role involves collaboration across design, product, and engineering teams to drive innovation from concept through launch, influencing the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage projects that encompass entire feature sets within a defined domain.
• Create user flows and experiences that are clean, simple, and elegant across supported platforms.
• Innovate or adapt visual design systems and layouts for evolving product needs.
• Engage in constructive critique and feedback with design peers to continually elevate quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, UX researchers, and content strategists to iterate and refine user experiences throughout the product development process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of two years of experience designing software products with strong emphasis on user experience, interaction design, and visual aesthetics aligned with business goals.
• Ability to leverage research and quantitative data to influence product strategies.
• Proven strategic thinking in product development coupled with excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with prototyping tools and creating low-fidelity mockups.

Preferred Experience

• Background in designing for virtual, augmented, or mixed reality platforms.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including User Research, Engineering, and Product Management.
• Basic knowledge of 3D interaction prototyping or interface design using Unity or related software.
• Exposure to emerging user input technologies such as hand or eye tracking.
• Contributions to design processes for products targeting developers or creative professionals.
• Utilization of AI tools to enhance or redesign workflows for measurable outcomes like improved efficiency or quality.
• Understanding of ethical AI implementation practices including risk assessment and bias mitigation.
• Continuous advancement in AI-related skills such as prompt engineering and staying updated on new AI innovations.

Additional Information

The position involves a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $164,000 annually, supplemented by bonuses, equity, and benefits. Compensation varies depending on experience, skill set, and location.
