About the Role

The Producer, Creative Production is a key member of the State Library's Events team, responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of creating, managing, and delivering innovative, high-quality, and compelling programs and events. This role collaborates closely with both internal departments and external partners to design and execute memorable event experiences that enhance and grow the State Library’s audience base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and produce unique, top-tier creative events within a dynamic arts and cultural setting, including signature State Library events, partnerships, exhibition openings, lecture series, and symposiums.
  • Offer expert guidance on event production and build effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders through negotiation and collaboration.
  • Manage all aspects of programs and events with meticulous attention to detail, including creative planning, stakeholder communication, logistics coordination, budgeting, timeline management, liaising with venues, technical teams, contractors, and suppliers, contract preparation, and other related duties.
  • Prioritize tasks, develop operational procedures, and oversee workflow to support the Creative Production team members.
  • Engage in continuous business improvement initiatives ensuring adherence to best practices, including the creation and interpretation of reports and conducting post-event reviews.
  • Foster a positive and safe workplace culture by exemplifying inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, respect, and ethical conduct.
