Procurement Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee milk collection operations at our Jagdalpur location in Chhattisgarh. This role involves expanding the milk procurement network, engaging and training farmers, ensuring milk quality, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and establish new milk collection centres (MCCs/BMCs) within rural areas.
• Organize meetings at the village level and conduct farmer awareness programs to boost milk procurement.
• Provide training to farmers and collection personnel on milk analyser devices, hygiene practices, and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers, village authorities, and local community members.
• Ensure consistent supply of high-quality milk reaching the processing plant in terms of quantity and quality.
• Oversee milk logistics, including route planning and transportation efficiency.
• Collaborate with Quality Control and Laboratory units for milk testing, quality assurance, and managing rejections.
• Monitor daily procurement data to identify trends and prepare management information system (MIS) reports for review.
• Devise and implement strategies to increase milk supply volumes, retain farmers, and improve procurement processes.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs, food safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
