About the Role

Aya Construction seeks a dedicated Procurement Engineer to join their team in Dubai, responsible for sourcing materials, subcontractors, and services essential for construction projects while ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Align procurement operations with project timelines and budgets.
• Analyze technical specifications and project demands to determine material and service requirements.
• Generate and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs), assess vendor proposals through technical and commercial evaluation.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, cost-efficiency, and reliability of delivery.
• Engage in negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing with vendors.
• Issue Purchase Orders and monitor timely receipt of goods and services.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to oversee material necessities.
• Handle logistics, customs procedures, and scheduling to ensure on-time material arrival at sites.
• Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, supplier databases, and material submittals.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and specific project criteria.
• Support cost estimations and procurement budgeting during bidding phases.
• Keep abreast of market trends, emerging suppliers, and industry developments to inform purchasing decisions.
• Prepare detailed procurement reports and conduct data analysis for management review.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in procurement principles, supply chain methodologies, and relevant software tools.
• Excellent negotiation and communication capabilities.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and effective organizational abilities.
• Understanding of legal and ethical procurement standards.
• Minimum of five years of experience in procurement-related roles.
