Role Overview
As part of the Project Delivery Group (PDG), Hatch offers a stimulating environment where team members commit to world-class project execution. The Procurement Coordinator role, based in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, supports procurement activities for EPCM projects in collaboration with Ma'aden, focusing on timely acquisition of goods and services that meet project requirements and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and conducting procurement operations for EPCM projects.
- Manage the coordination of RFQs, communication with suppliers, processing bid documents, and issuing purchase orders.
- Keep procurement records updated, including logs, supplier databases, and reporting.
- Track suppliers' commitments, delivery timelines, and key procurement milestones.
- Contribute to bid assessment, commercial evaluations, and supplier selection procedures.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project control, logistics, and project management teams.
- Identify and monitor procurement risks, delivery challenges, and escalation points.
- Ensure all procurement documentation aligns with project policies and governance standards.
- Support contract management, monitor supplier performance, and assist in project closeout tasks.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Logistics or related disciplines.
- Between three and five years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience, ideally within EPCM, mining, construction, or industrial project environments.
- A solid grasp of procurement workflows, purchasing, sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms.
- Strong skills in organization, communication, and managing stakeholders.
- Competency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of Saudi market practices and local content regulations is considered beneficial.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, with Arabic language skills advantageous.
