Procurement Buyer

Role Overview and Contributions

As a Procurement Buyer at Air Liquide, you will help to promptly and efficiently meet urgent procurement requests by utilizing your sourcing expertise. Your goal will be to obtain the best value and product quality while ensuring compliance and adapting to the organization's evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and take necessary actions to meet turnaround times from procurement requests to purchase orders, including activities such as purchase request analysis, preparing requests for quotes, and reviewing offers.
• Continuously monitor pricing to secure cost savings by comparing negotiated prices against established baseline standards.
• Develop and authorize Spot Buy procedures (SOPs) according to organizational guidelines, including those outlined in Category Cards within the EPIC system, adhering to directions from category managers and country buyers.
• Regularly refine and enhance the Spot Buy process to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Conduct periodic meetings with the Tactical Procurement Director and category managers/country buyers to identify opportunities for reducing spot buys.
• Provide reports on savings achieved and service levels to the Spot Buy & Requisitioning Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A university degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Between 1 to 3 years (or more) of experience in procurement and supplier management.
