About College Group
College Group was established in 1989 and now runs three modern facilities located in Nobber, Meath; Monnery, Cavan; and Newry, Down.
Role overview
They are looking for an energetic Process Operator to join the Production Team at the Rendering Plant in Nobber. This position plays a key role in day-to-day operations, helping improve efficiency and supporting the delivery of performance targets.
The work follows an 8-hour rotating shift pattern across days and nights, including weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Run the production PLC system to monitor operations, capture data, and produce reports.
- Spot issues as they arise and escalate them to the production supervisor.
- Work toward meeting process output targets and KPI goals.
- Pass on important updates during shift handovers.
- Take samples and deliver them to the lab for quality control checks.
- Carry out general site upkeep, cleaning, equipment checks, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Observe all on-site health and safety requirements, including rules set by the HSA and other regulators.
Experience and skills needed
The company is seeking someone who can plan and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines, use computers confidently, pay close attention to detail, and communicate clearly with others.
Working pattern
This is an 8-hour shift role on a roster covering both day and night work, with weekends included.
