Private Equity Associate

Role overview

Atlantic Group is recruiting for a Private Equity Associate for a client based in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. This position follows a Monday-to-Friday hybrid work arrangement and offers compensation of $130,000 to $150,000 per year, plus a bonus.

The role is centered on evaluating acquisition prospects, building financial models, carrying out due diligence, and creating materials for Investment Committee discussions. You will also work directly with senior leaders at portfolio companies, handle market and valuation analysis, and contribute to limited partner communication efforts. The position suits candidates with backgrounds in private equity or investment banking who perform well in fast-moving, growth-oriented settings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and help execute investment opportunities across a range of industries and operating models.
• Create detailed financial models and complete thorough due diligence to support investment decisions.
• Draft investment memorandums and present findings, analyses, and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Partner with executive teams at portfolio companies to track performance and support initiatives that drive value creation.
• Perform sector and competitor research, assist with valuation work and LP communications, and support mentoring and other team projects as needed.

Candidate profile

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Strong capability in financial modeling and analysis, along with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative mindset for high-pressure environments.

Compensation and schedule

The package includes a salary range of $130,000 to $150,000 per year, plus bonus. The expected schedule is Monday to Friday in a hybrid format.
