  • Strong collaboration skills with peers and external partners.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and understanding of Oranga Tamariki’s roles and operations.
  • Resilience, initiative, and a proactive outlook.
  • Empathy and patience with the ability to see beyond immediate challenges faced by clients.
  • Sound judgment alongside effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Capability to assess risks and make difficult decisions when necessary.
  • High cultural awareness, including knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples' cultures, with confidence in cross-cultural practice.

Benefits

  • A vibrant, supportive team culture.
  • Flexible working arrangements to support wellbeing.
  • Comprehensive training and professional development tailored to your career objectives.
  • Reimbursement of your annual practicing fee.
  • Challenging and rewarding work that significantly benefits the community.
  • Opportunities to engage with diverse cultural groups, expand your professional network, and deepen community connections.
  • Access to Southern Cross health plan and a banking package with Westpac.
