Power BI Developer

About the Role

Join Tata Consultancy Services as a Power BI Developer, contributing to the creation and management of business intelligence solutions that empower data-driven strategic decisions. This role involves designing and deploying interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI technology.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical BI solutions.
• Construct and maintain data models, datasets, and ETL transformations utilizing Power Query and DAX.
• Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, Excel, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
• Optimize the performance of BI reports ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Work closely with business analysts and technical teams to understand and fulfill reporting requirements.
• Conduct thorough data validation, testing, and resolve issues in BI implementations.
• Document BI reports, dashboards, and underlying data architecture clearly and comprehensively.
• Provide ongoing user support including training and troubleshooting for reporting solutions.
• Stay current with the latest updates in Power BI tools and methodologies to enhance business intelligence capabilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years' experience in Power BI development and business intelligence reporting.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX scripting.
• Strong skills in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL workflows.
• Experience with relational database management systems including SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
