Job description

Overview

The Royal British Legion invites applications for the newly established position of Portfolio Performance Manager within its Change and Transformation department. This role supports the organisation's new 10-year strategic plan by delivering insightful portfolio performance data and analytics to senior leadership, thus enhancing project delivery effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead creation of comprehensive, reliable portfolio reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a unified perspective on portfolio performance by managing data, creating dashboards, and generating insightful reports.
  • Analyse programme and project data to detect trends, risks, opportunities, and potential issues.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to assist leaders in making well-informed decisions.
  • Support governance meetings by offering meaningful performance metrics and decision-making information.
  • Collaborate closely with Project and Change teams to augment reporting quality and portfolio transparency.
  • Manage and develop a Portfolio Analyst within the team.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in PMO, project controls, portfolio management, performance reporting, or management information roles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and convert it into clear strategic insights are essential. The role requires a proactive individual who thrives on identifying trends and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Work Location

This is a remote role with home-based working arrangements, requiring occasional travel for monthly team meetings.

Additional Information
