Job description
Overview
This role is based in Said Bin Al Aas, Al Jamiah, Almadinah Almunawwarah, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, on-site position in the Engineering & Facilities department at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. The plumber will be responsible for maintaining various plumbing systems and addressing minor repairs to ensure functional and safe water and piping facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Address minor plumbing issues such as clearing blocked drains.
- Assemble sections of pipes, tubing, and fittings accurately.
- Test pipes or fixtures using water or air to identify leaks.
- Analyze building blueprints, codes, and specifications to prepare for installation tasks.
- Inspect the building structure and plan the layout for plumbing installations.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to necessary angles for installation.
- Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and plumbing fixtures.
- Handle various minor repair tasks and perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety and security protocols, promptly reporting any hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Keep a clean and professional uniform and appearance, maintain confidentiality, and safeguard company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests in accordance with company standards and anticipate their service needs.
- Foster positive working relationships and communicate professionally with others.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout all tasks.
- Manually move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds independently and assist with loads exceeding 100 pounds.
- Engage in physical activities such as reaching overhead and below knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and climbing ladders.
- Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods and perform additional job duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: Possession of a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School degree.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant plumbing work experience.
- Certifications: Required certifications include a Plumber Certification and a Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License.
- No supervisory experience is necessary for this role.
