Role Overview and Responsibilities
This position involves advanced test automation responsibilities utilizing Playwright and TypeScript. The role requires strong skills in developing and maintaining automation scripts, working with CI/CD pipelines, and managing test architectures.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
- Leverage Playwright capabilities such as selectors, fixtures, test isolation, parallel test execution, network request mocking, file upload/download handling, and storage state management.
- Write efficient asynchronous code using TypeScript/JavaScript concepts including async/await, promises, ES modules, and manage dependencies effectively.
- Handle version control of automation scripts using GIT, GitHub, or other repository management tools.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipeline scripts ensuring efficient caching, artifact management, and matrix builds.
- Incorporate API testing through Playwright's request context feature to validate backend services.
- Design test architectures following patterns such as Page Object Model and data-driven testing, maintain environment-specific configurations, and manage sensitive information securely.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in test automation with at least 3 years specializing in Playwright and TypeScript.
- Technical proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript including asynchronous programming and module management.
- Strong knowledge of Playwright automation features and API testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with source control systems like GIT and repository management platforms.
- Familiarity with scripting and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of test design methodologies including Page Object Model and data-driven testing.
- Ability to handle environment configurations and secrets management securely.
Eligibility
Applicants should have completed any of the following degrees: B.C.A. in any specialization, B.Sc. in any specialization, B.Tech or B.E. in any specialization, or any graduate degree.
Location
This role is based in Hyderabad, India, with possible opportunities in Bangalore and Chennai.
