Role Overview

Caredoc is recruiting a Physiotherapist to join their multidisciplinary Community Intervention Team (CIT) based in Wexford. The CIT aims to deliver a rapid acute response to patients experiencing short-term acute illnesses, offering enhanced care services designed to support early discharge from hospital or to avoid hospital admissions altogether. Services are provided either at the patient’s home or local primary care centers as appropriate.

Team and Patient Focus

The Wexford CIT offers integrated physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and nursing services with referrals coming from acute hospitals and General Practitioners. The Physiotherapist will work closely with patients and their caregivers to promote independence and help maintain or improve the ability to perform everyday tasks, thereby supporting patients to remain at home. Collaboration with professionals across acute, community, and primary care sectors is essential.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current registration with CORU is mandatory.
• At least three years of experience post-registration in physiotherapy.
• Strong communication and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Possession of a full clean manual driving license; a vehicle will be provided.
• Proficiency in IT applications.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
